Have you ever stepped on a Lego? It’s so painful that there are rumors of LEGO creating an extra padded slipper to shield you from the pain! Although they’re no fun to step on, Legos are pretty awesome. The possibilities are endless when it comes to making unique Lego creations.
With three boys at home, our rooms are filled with Lego bricks! If your house is full of little Legos too, you’ll be happy to discover that these tiny toys are good for more than just stepping on! I have found some really useful creations that can make your life easier. I hope you enjoy these LEGO life hacks!
LEGO life hacks to give you a perfect place to set down your phone
One of my favorite creations is a phone stand with a charging station. Did you know that Lego people’s hands are just the right size to hold a phone cord? It’s quite convenient. Each of the videos below showcases a different way to make a phone stand. I love the charging station in video 2, the Lego TV in video 3, and the stop-motion in video 4.
The first video is from the Brick by Brick series by SoulPancake. I love it because Adam’s goal is to help you see ways to solve everyday problems with Legos. In this video, he shows you how to make a key fob with a dock, a phone stand, a tissue box, coasters, and a picture frame.
After watching this video, I noticed that we had a LEGO keychain exactly like the one Adam used to make his key fob. With that inspiration, I made my own key station at home. You can use 3M picture hanging strips to attach a 6 x 4 (or larger) LEGO to the wall. Then, attach a LEGO to each of your sets of keys. With these LEGO life hacks, I hope we never lose our keys again!
More incredibly useful LEGO creations
This second video features nine LEGO creations that can help you in your everyday life. My favorites are the phone charging station I mentioned above, a doorstop, a paperclip holder, and a flower pot. Best of all is the mini chess board! It’s a perfect way to play while you’re traveling. I wonder what other games LEGO can help us create. . .
I got so many great ideas from the first two videos, but I couldn’t stop watching LEGO life hacks! Video 3 shows you how to make a LEGO TV, a toothbrush holder, LEGO magnets, a top arena, and a compass. My favorite idea featured here is to attach a LEGO base plate to the wall and use it as the storage spot for all other LEGO’s. It could also be a perfect place to create LEGO art that stays on display.

By the time I watched this fourth video, I felt like I had seen most of these LEGO life hacks before, but I was really intrigued with the stop-motion that they built. It is such a great tool to use when filming with your phone. After seeing that, I had the idea to create a tripod phone stand to help me take better pictures. I haven’t completed it yet, but I’ll definitely post a picture here when I do.
I hope you enjoyed watching these LEGO life hacks as much as I did! Let me know what useful creations you’ve made.
