Having a baby forever changes your life! While it can be joyous and rewarding, on some days it is just plain hard. Babies require so much care and attention all the time. When they are healthy, you have to give them all that you’ve got. Then, when they are sick, you basically have to become a super-human to meet all of their needs and still maintain some sanity. Thank goodness for these genius baby products that make parenting easier. When you take advantage of the best baby products and mom hacks you’ll have the tools you need to do it all.
Best Baby Products for Sick Kids
The snot sucker is THE essential item when you have a sick baby! Those poor babies can’t blow their own noses. Using a bulb syringe to try to clear out their congestion is just torture for them. While the idea of the Snot Sucker is a bit gross (don’t worry, there’s a barrier), it works so well! A bit of Little Noses Saline right before using the Snot Sucker really does the trick to clear everything out.
I will never use a standard thermometer again! A temporal thermometer is so fast and easy. No more struggling with your baby to get a rectal (eww!) or axillary temperature!
While I haven’t personally tried this one, I have heard it’s amazing. It is at the top of my baby wish list! Even a quick swipe across the forehead bothers my babies sometimes. I would love to give them comfort with a pacifier while taking their temperature.
Have you ever tried to give your baby medicine only to have him spit it all out and get sticky medicine all over everything?! Yeah, me too. You guys, this product is truly amazing! It is a pacifier that you use to administer medicine to your sick baby. Now you can give your baby comfort and actually keep all of the medicine in his mouth.
Best Baby Products for Everyday Life
The first two of these products are so genius that I included them as life hacks in 13 Mom Hacks that Save your Sanity.
The Binxy Baby hammock is similar to the buggy bench pictured above, but it is designed for newborns. You can place your sleepy baby in the hammock that hangs over the cart. It takes up a lot less space than a car seat!
We have so many sippy cups that are missing lids! I love having Boon sippy cup lids that can stretch on to any cup. They are so convenient!
I LOVE these fresh food feeders! They have so many uses! Babies can eat fruits, veggies, and meats without choking. They are also great for teething babies! I like to put frozen fruit in them to be like a popsicle on a hot day or to comfort a feverish baby.
This food cutter is perfect for babies just learning how to eat! How awesome is this one tool that can cut any food into so many itty bitty pieces?! Those bites are just right for babies learning how to pick up finger foods.
This spoon is seriously the greatest invention for babies and toddlers learning to self-feed! The design allows babies to actually get food in their mouths! It encourages self-feeding, which is good for development and lifelong healthy eating habits.
Clipping baby fingernails is just so hard! While I do have a couple of mom hacks that help get the job done, I still have had too many experiences of clipping too far and making my poor baby’s little fingers bleed. That’s no fun for anyone! This electric nail trimmer is designed to quickly file down those baby nails without injury or struggle.
